While I have had a good year in baseball picks, my Friday picks are currently at 2-4 after last week’s 2 losses. This week I have some more confident picks.
Yankees ML – With Luis Gil on the mound, I expect him to be extra hungry in his first game being called up from AAA. The Yankees have been hitting the ball hard and I do not expect that to stop against aging Steven Matz who has some rough matchups with Yankees hitters. Notably Giancarlo Stanton who is hitting .333 with a 1.067 OPS and 2 bombs in 18 AB. Bellinger, Caballero, and Goldschmidt all have home runs in the past off of him.
Brewers ML – The Nationals may be my favorite fade this season. Even with a lead, nothing is safe with their bullpen. I think Jake Irvin is one of the easier pitchers to take deep and he does not fair well against these elite lefty batters on the Brewers.
Rockies +1.5 – In my Hot Take Of The Week (HTOTW), I think the Rockies draw a favorable matchup and run line against a struggling Walker Buehler. These Rockies have been BANGING the baseball. I also think Sugano has been pitching well as of recent, which is saying a lot to be pitching in Coors Field and winning.
EXTRA:
SERIES WINNER PARLAY – Mets x Yankees x Brewers +216
